L'ANGE Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Vieilles Vignes' 2012

The 2012 L’Ange Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers aromas and flavors of dark berry fruits, roasted plum, pepper, licorice, garrigue and a dark chocolate character. It’s nicely structured and refined with fine, silky tannins that glide into the finish where dark cherries, mineral and hints of dark chocolate linger. Today, the wine is youthful and backwards, it will need at least another few years in bottle before it begins to hit its stride. (Best 2017-2027) - September, 2014 (JD)
