DOMAINE LA MILLIERE Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 'Vieilles Vignes' 2011

Domaine La Millière’s vineyards are situated at the north end of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation in the Mont Redon-Cabrières. The blend is comprised of 80% Grenache 10%Clairette 10% Bourboulenc. The nose is pretty with aromas of baked apple, lavender, tarragon, brioche and honey. It delivers a solid mouth feel with a good acidic backbone, but there is also a slight bitterness on the backend, which can melt away with some bottle age. I suggest holding this for 2-3 years before opening and enjoy over the next decade. 400 cases made. (Best 2014-2020) - September, 2013 (MD)
