The 2011 Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Alchimie' from Domaine des 3 Cellier is racy with a ton of ripe fruit, aromas of bright raspberry and cherries leap from the glass, followed by notes of garrigue, spices and cocoa that resonate through the wine. This is balanced with wonderful soft, silky texture and finishes up smooth and velvety with red fruits and herbs leaving a lasting impression. Composed of 50% Grenache, 14% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 5% Vaccarèse, 5% Counoise and 5% Black Terret and should drink nicely over the course of the next decade or so.
