The 2011 Domaine de la Mordorée Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvée de la Reine des Bois' offers bold, robust aromas of ripe dark plums, macerated cherries, spices, roasted herbs, lavender and hints of dark chocolate. This shows wonderful depth and concentration for the vintage and it's very well balanced with a dense core of ripe fruit backed by a gorgeous layer of underlying acidity which all ends in a long lasting finish. This is a fantastic cuvée and will be even better with just a bit more bottle age. (Best 2015-2026) - August, 2013 (JD)
