The 2019 Domaine Fontavin Châteauneuf-du-Pape 'Trilogies' begins with aromas of cherries and raspberries followed by garrigue, licorice, white pepper, light spices and stony minerals all taking shape. On the palate this medium-bodied red is elegant and silky, with wonderful finesse. Beautifully balanced with a lovely core of sweet red fruits that expand seamlessly on to the finish. This is a refined, classic expression this is showing excellent now, but allow this just a few more years and it will become even more compelling.
