The 2018 Châteauneuf-du-Pape begins with aromas of fresh cherries and red berries, which come together with exotic spices, lavender, sweet licorice, iodine and crushed stones that all take shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied with a soft, round texture backed by flavors of plum and spices at its core that expand seamlessly though the finish. This is drinking excellent today, and should continue to offer a moderate drinking window ahead.
