The 2014 Château Anthonic is a wonderful showing in the vintage. This blend of 71% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Petit Verdot instantly opens to gorgeous aromatics of blackberries and cherries woven together with spices, floral, tobacco, minerals notes all soaring from the glass. This medium to full-bodied red possesses a gorgeous round, velvety texture and displays wonderful overall balance as it heads into the plush finish, where dark cherries and spices remain persistent. This is already accessible and should continue to evolve beautifully over the next few years. (Best 2018-2026) - February, 2017 (JD)
