The 2010 Château la Croix-Davids opens with wonderful aromas of dark fruits consisting of black cherry and sweet currants, which are immediately followed by toasted coconut, tobacco and pain grille. The tannins are well polished and this shows nice concentration and balance. For readers who enjoy more of a modern style, this is a great wine at a very fair price in Bordeaux standards.
