BERNARD FAURIE Saint-Joseph Vieilles Vignes 2001

The 2001 Bernard Faurie St. Joseph Vieilles Vignes is a gorgeous showing made in a classic style. This is drinking beautifully at this juncture in its evolution offering aromas of berries and peppery spices woven together with violets, leather and meaty notes all taking shape in the glass. On the palate this is ultra-silky and balanced with remarkable finesse through the finish. This is a wonderful effort and will be adored by readers who enjoy a traditional Saint-Joseph. (Best through 2021) - December, 2016 (JD)
