ALAIN PARET Saint Joseph '420 Nuits' 2011

The ‘420 Nuits’ from Alain Paret is named after the aging process where it spends 420 days in new French oak barrels. The wine itself is actually 100% Serine, which is an ancestor of Syrah and releases aromas of fresh black raspberries, dark chocolate, tobacco, leather, herbs, vanilla and lavender. It is tightly wound with firm tannins and a racy core of dark fruit. This will benefit from short-term cellaring or at the very least, a few hours or air. (Best 2017-2026) - March, 2015 (JD)
