M. CHAPOUTIER Hermitage Blanc Chante-Alouett 2010

2012 TOP 50 WINES - Rank #7
The 2010 M. Chapoutier Hermitage Blanc 'Chante-Alouette' exhibits a gorgeous bright golden color, with pretty aromas of fresh lemon, white peach, jazz apple, honey blossoms, shaved almonds, orange peel and flinty minerals. Everything is supported with a rich velvety texture that is focused and balanced with no hard edges. This continues to elvove with each swirl of the glass, so I only expect this get even better with some time. Made from 100% Marsanne which is hand-harvested from three different vineyards; Le Méal, Les Murets and Chante-Alouette. (Best 2013-2024) - November, 2012 (JD)
