The Brand Grand Cru vineyard is the first of the Zind collection to bud break and flowering, which is due to the heat from the granite soils. Coming from vines with an average age of 30 years, the wine was bottled in February 2012 This absolutely gorgeous bottling right now possesses a bownish hue yielding complex aromas of ripe pear, honey, and apricots. The Riesling is viscous, oily and fat on the mouth. An amalgamation of honey, golden delicious apple, Marcona almond, vanilla cream and almost a touch of botrytis in this semi-sweet style of wine. With the acidity to last another decade, this is hard to put down now. (Best 2016-2028) - January, 2016 (JD)
