Lots of mineral, earth, forest floor with some red fruit. Big dry mouth-coating finish with some bitterness. The vineyard site is 4.76 hectares and the soil is hard limestone enriched with marl. The wine is aged 12-15 months in oak barrels (20% new wood), followed by 5 months finishing in stainless-steel bulk tanks prior to bottling. (Drink 2011 - 2020) - December, 2011 (MD)
