The 2005 'Blanchot' is absolutely spectacular, this elegant Chablis delivers lovely aromas of white peach, honey blossoms, orange zest all wrapped around stoney minerals. On the palate this is remarkably balanced and focused, while showcasing it’s terroir beautifully, with a wonderful core minerality shinning through till the very end. There is no doubt the 2005 'Blanchot' is truly great wine, however today it is still a bit closed and I believe it can certainly offer more with just a bit more bottle age. Domaine François Raveneau sets the bar in Chablis and is considered to be second to none. (Best 2019-2030) - May, 2016 (JD)
