The 2014 Côtes du Rhône Villages from Loiuse Dubois is a lovely showing. As this begins to open it delivers aromas and flavors of cherries and raspberry, followed by fresh lavender, spices, white pepper, licorice and wet stony minerals, which all come together beautifully in the glass. This is made in a refined style with a well structured backbone and fine tannins, remaining well balanced through the finish. It would be best to allow this another year or two of bottle age for it to flesh out and develop a bit more. (2017-2023) - July, 2016 (JD)
