The 2012 Coudoulet is a blend of Grenache 40%, Mourvèdre 30%, Syrah 20%, and Cinsault 10%. It offers a complex nose of red currants, blackberries, graphite, garrigue, followed by hints of licorice, pepper, and crushed flowers. On the palate there is a pure texture with lots of sweet red fruit, graphite and exotic spice. Overall the 2012 is showing well now, but should be even better after another year or two of bottle age.
