The 2012 Château Barateau opens to inviting aromas of ripe black cherries, which are mixed with spices, licorice, tobacco and cedar box notes. The velvety texture is underlined by a lovely mineral character, which leads the way into the long, chewy finish. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot is drinking excellent right now. (Best 2017-2019) - September, 2017 (JD)
