The 2012 '15 Barons du Château de Portets' is a wonderful effort, which begins to opens with aromas of dark cherries and black plums woven together with pipe tobacco, minerals and hints of spices and pain grille. This medium to full-bodied red is nicely balanced with an elegant, soft velvety mouthfeel which carries on through the round finish. (Best 2016-2023) - February 2016 (JD)
