The 2020 Domaine du Grand Montmirail Vieilles Vignes Gigondas begins with inviting aromas of black raspberries, dark plums, dried spices, dried florals, pepper, savory herbs and wet stones which all take shape in the glass. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a wonderful polished mouthfeel which is structured with soft round tannins that expand seamlessly through the finish. Balanced and nicely concentrated this is simply delighful to approach today and should also age beautifully.
