The 2010 L’Enclos de Viaud is a wonderful effort in 2010. This blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc instantly opens with bold aromas of ripe blackberries and cherries woven together with espresso, spring floral, spices and minerals. It possesses gorgeous velvety tannins lending to a layered texture. A very nice value and an all around terrific effort by winemaker Jerome Aguirre and consultant Michel Rolland.
