The 2014 Château Climens is an absolutely striking wine in this vintage. Displaying an gorgeous deeply hued golden color, this brilliant Sauternes opens to seductive aromatics of roasted pineapple, apricot, dried peaches, bananas foster and butterscotch nuances which all come together in the glass. The unctuous quality of the wine is apparent, as the mid-palate weight is quite impressive, beautifully maintaing its elegance and focus. This continues to impress with its fantastic weight and intensity, as the flavors of vanilla crème, lemon oil, apricots and ripe pineapple leave a lasting impression on the near minute long finish.
