The 2010 Chateau Moulin de la Rose offers aromas of freshly crushed blackberries and cherries wrapped in licorice, vanilla, lightly roasted coffee and minerals. Well-structured with wonderful firm, yet silky texture ending in a long finish that lingers. The blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc shows potential to be age-worthy. Although this property is one of the few properties in St. Julien that is not classified as a Cru Classe, it is made up of many parcels of vines that touch such prestigious neighbors as Leoville Barton, Gruaud Larose, Beychevelle and Talbot.
