The 2009 Château Les Ormes is evolving gracefully since last tasted just about a year ago. Today, the wine shows absolutely gorgeous aromas of dark cherries, dark plum, spices, floral, licorice along with some hints of tobacco. It’s beautifully balanced and supported by velvety tannins which are well integrated. The finish is long and caressing with dark fruits and a spicy edge. Although this is excellent today, it will still benefit from some bottle age. (Best 2014-2025) - October, 2013 (JD)

Offers notes of dark cherries, plum, floral and some cigar box. The plush tannins are well integrated and it finishes up long and velvety. Allow this some time in the bottle to settle down or extended air contact at the very least, but it will be at its best in a few years. (Best 2014-2019) - 90 Points
