Troplong Mondot has released a string of consecutively impressive wines over the past decade and the 2014 certainly no exception. This brilliant blend of 90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc opens to incredibly nuanced aromatics of dark cherries, roasted plums and blackberries which are laced with spices, graphite and hints of mocha. This voluptuous Saint-Émilion is medium to full-bodied and remarkably concentrated with outstanding overall depth and balance through the layered finish. This is already extremely appealing and should continue to age beautifully over the next decade and beyond. (Best 2020-2036) - June, 2017 (JD)
