As this 2009 ‘Reserve’ begins to slowly unwind in the glass, pretty aromas of ripe blackberry, currant, spices, tobacco leaf, licorice and minerals begin to emerge. This possesses a gorgeous plush texture, yet well-structured with a long finish laced with tobacco and spices that turns chewy. A lovely showing that is just beginning to enter maturity and should continue to evolve for years to some. (Best 2015-2025) - August, 2014 (JD)
