The 2005 'Don Melchor' is an extreamly impressive effort from Concha y Toro. This is a powerful Cabernet, with tiers of sweet currant, cassis, leather, loam, melted fig, and mineral. This is so dense and layered with firm but ultra-smooth round tannins keeping everything in place. A beautiful example of how good Cabernet from Chile can be. (Best 2011 - 2025) - JD
