Different lots of this wine were aged in French oak barrels (first, second, third and fourth use) for 12 months before blending. This wine is an intriguing blend of 66% Malbec, 12% Cabernet, 12% Ancelotta and 10% Caladoc. This has a wonderfully perfumed nose of anise, milk chocolate, creme de cassis and sage. There are flavors of creme de cassis, anise, milk chocolate, black plum and blackberry preserves. This is alongside a silky texture and a dense mouthfeel. They need to make more of these type of blends. (Best 2015-2025) - December, 2015 (OB)
