The 2016 Château Crillon Ventoux begins with inviting aromas of black raspberries and dark plums woven together spices, pepper and lavender nuances all filling the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied and supported by soft, round tannins making for a lovely mouthfeel. Well balanced, with flavors of dark raspberries peppery spices and lavender building up the mineral-laced finish. A lovely wine, which should continue to drink well over the course of the next five or so years.
