The 2016 Bouzeron is an absolutely fantastic showing from Olivier Chanzy. It begins with pretty aromatics of orchard fruits, lemon curd, acacia flower and vanilla blossoms along with hints of crushed almonds and lovely saline nuances all taking shape. On the palate this beautifully textured with a gorgeous rich mouthfeel and wonderful overall balance of fruit and acidity. This is already showing remarkably well and I expect it should continue to do so over the next handful of years. A wonderful value and certainly a wine that should peak the interest of those looking to try another white varietal other than chardonnay from the region.
