The 2013 'Ugolforte' Brunello di Montalcino opens to inviting aromatics of cherries and red plums which are woven together with vanilla, exotic species, leather and hints of citrus nuances all taking shape. Medium-bodied with a fine texture and lovely overall balance of fruit and acidity. While appealing now, this should hit its stride with just another year or two of bottle age.
