The 2015 'En Homage' is an inky colored Syrah, which was aged in 10% new French oak prior to bottling. The wine opens with inviting aromatics of smoked meat, sagebrush, crushed mint and black olive tapenade. This is beautifully structured and balanced with lovely minerality, which displays similar characteristics of Syrah from areas in the Northern Rhone. It continues to impress with flavors of meat, black tea, Asian spices, cigar box and suggestions of Mandarin orange rind which all come together to complete this fabulous wine.
