The Brittan Vineyards Chardonnay is an absolutely outstanding showing in this vintage, and is also one of the most impressive wines from the Willamette Valley which I have tasted in the past year. Aromatics of poached pear, lemon blossom and nutmeg with Granny Smith apple entice the senses and are downright intoxicating. The palate offers ripe flavors of Granny Smith apple, lemon zest, crème brûlée and green papaya, which is delivered through a rich texture. The gorgeous mouthfeel ends with an exceedingly long finish, which lingers for nearly a minute. This memorable Chardonnay wine will cellar brilliantly for a decade or more.
