Sourced from old vines, more than 30 years of age, the 'Seven Springs' Pinot Noir utilizes Pommard and Wadenswil clones, that are set on volcanic Jory soils. The fruit was hand harvested and hand sorted, with roughly 75% of the fruit being destemmed. This captivating Pinot Noir begins with lovely aromatics of cranberry, mulberry and red cherries, followed by spices, black truffle and forest floor elements. Showing excellent mid-palate weight and acidity, this beautifully layered Pinot Noir continues to deliver wonderful fresh red fruits through the attractive finish. Outstanding now, but should also develop some nice secondary characteristics with some short to mid-term cellaring. (Best 2017-2028) - March, 2017 (OB)
