LARUE Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast 2013

The Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from LaRue Wines is a top notch effort. Winemaker Katy Wilson blends fruit from the Rice-Spivak (located south of Sebastopol) and Emmaline Ann Vineyard (located outside of Freestone). It has gorgeous aromas, with cherry fruit characters, exotic spices, forest floor, black plum and hints of citrus zest. On the palate the wine is deep, pure and very elegant. The finish is soft with a zip of fresh acidity at the end. Drink over the next 7-10 years. (Best 2016-2026) - April, 2016 (MD)
