TABLAS CREEK 'Patelin de Tablas' 2014

The 2014 Tablas Creek 'Patelin de Tablas' is a great showing from Tablas Creek. This red is an intriguing blend of 55% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre and 6% Counoise which was sourced from four regions in Paso Robles. The wine was destemmed and fermented (native yeast) in open-top and closed stainless steel fermenters as well as 1500-gallon oak upright casks. This Rhône style blend opens with aromas of black plum, wet rock, acai berries and wild blackberries. This leads to flavors of black cherry, anise, pipe tobacco and black raspberry. A forward style blend that opens nicely with air contact. (Best 2016-2021) - March, 2016 (OB)
