The 2010 'Widowmaker' is another completely compelling bottling by Cayuse that is sourced from their En Chamberlin Vineyard. Incorporating both masculine and feminine edges, the 'Widowmaker' begins with alluring aromas of black truffle, blackberry jam, Turkish coffee and crushed wildflowers. On the palate this shows incredible range, with complex flavors of blackberry cobbler, anise, smoked meats, pipe , gravel and mocha. An absolutely gorgeous wine, with notable weight and seamless texture leading to the long, lingering finish, which shows a mineral influence from the stony soils of En Chamberlin.
