2015 TOP 100 WINES | Rank #53
Keefer Ranch Vineyard spans 50 acres and was planted in 1988 by Marcy Keefer and her husband Robert and is mainly devoted to Pinot Noir. The vineyard is particularly known for early morning fog and Goldridge soils, this combination makes Keefer Ranch an ideal location for Pinot Noir. Kosta Browne achieved incredible results from Keefer Ranch in 2012, this outstanding Pinot Noir begins to open with gorgeous red cherries and red berries along with some fresh dill aromas which come together beautifully in the glass. On the palate there is lovely weight to the mouthfeel and the just right amount of acid backbone as it leads to concentrated flavors of cherry pie, raspberry and cranberry which linger through the finish. This is absolutely incredible today and also shows wonderful potential to age. (Best 2015-2030) - November, 2015 (OB)
