The 2012 Tenuta di Trinoro Rosso Toscana is an incredible wine made from 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petite Verdot. As this unwinds in the glass it delivers complex aromas of ripe dark cherries and crème de cassis, woven together with dark chocolate, roasted coffee, graphite, fresh violets, with hints of an earthy character. This impressive red is full-bodied and demonstrates a remarkable balance of power and finesse. It shows wonderful concentration and depth with layers of ripe fruit cascading onto the finish, where dark fruits coat your palate and linger on. This is ultimately an age-worthy wine, which will demand some additional bottle age to settle down, but it looks to have a long, bright future, as it should evolve gracefully for many years to come.
