As the 2011 Starderi begins to unwind in the glass aromas of red berries, cherry, fresh mineral, vanilla bean along with hints of tar and fresh cut floral all come together beautifully. It possesses fantastic structure and wonderful elegant personality, backed by fine, silky tannins that stretch out on the finish making this very long. This is only beginning to show itself and will still need a bit of time before it's full stride, but that being said this looks to be my personal favorite Cru from Giorgio Rivetti in 2011.
