RAMEY WINE CELLARS Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2009

The 2009 Ramey Wine Cellars represents a blend of hillside and valley floor vineyards. The vineyards include the J. Davies Vineyard on Diamond Mountain, 21%; the Somerston hillside vineyard, 20%; DeSantis on the valley floor just north of Zinfandel Lane, 21%; Lamoreaux in Oak Knoll, 34%; and 4% from two small parcels. This is such a gorgeous Cabernet with beautiful aromas of fresh ripe currants, dark fruits, spring florals, herbs and anise. What brings this to the next level though is the purity of fruit , excellent structure and long lasting finish. A remarkable showing and another to add to the list of impressive 2009's for Ramey.
