The 2019 Attelas Vineyard 'Peak' is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon with 8% Merlot and 4% Malbec. It opens to inviting aromas of blackberries, blueberries and red plums, which are laced with fresh-tilled soil, dried exotic spices, violets, herbs cigar box and wet gravel nuances. On the palate this is full-bodied, well-balanced and firmly structured with polished tannins. It displays a wonderful ripe dark fruit character that is underlined by lovely acidity which adds a noteable sense of freshness through the finish. Overall this is a beautifully made wine that has the potential to thrive in the cellar.
