The 2019 Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper is a fantastic showing in this vintage from Boich Cellars. It instantly begins with aromas of ripe black currants, blackberries and hints of blueberries, which are woven together with suggestions of fresh florals, spices, dusty minerals, graphite and dark chocolate shavings all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied with a lovely opulent mouthfeel, displaying outstanding depth and concentration. It continues to impress with its remarkable overall balance and finesse which provides a sense of elegance as it glides into the supple finish. This is another outstanding release from Boich Cellars that is excellent now, but also has the potential to age for two decades or more.
