Gravelly Meadow is the coolest micro-climate and sits on an pre-historic river bed consisting of stony, gravelly soils.
The 2017 reflects these mineral characters beautifully, as it opens to aromas of blueberries and creme de cassis whihc are laced with sweet violets, spices and crushed gravel nuances that all take shape. The palate is medium-plus bodied, with velvety tannins and lovely overall finesse and balance through the finish.
The most refined of the three wines from Diamond Creek in this vintage.
