This Pinot Noir comes from the Sonatera Vineyard, which is located on a hilltop and benefits from the 3 different sun exposures throughout the day. This is a classic old-world style of Pinot Noir, which opens to fresh aromas of strawberries and red cherries woven together with wild flowers, spices and a subtle hint of earthy soil which slowly begin to emerge from the glass. A well balanced wine, with lovely elegance and structure. The palate is focused with precise flavors of bright red berries and spicy notes, that lead into the soft finish. While this is currently showing some lovely characteristics, it is presently a bit restrained and will benefit from a few years of additional bottle age.
