The 2014 'Excellens' Rioja is a deep colored Tempranillo which starts out with inviting aromas of toasty oak with red cherry and dried raisin accents. The palate shows a lovely velvety texture with wonderful red and dark fruits connecting with citrus rind. This is excellent now and should cellar nicely for close to a decade.
