The Liquid Farm ‘FOUR’ Chardonnay was sourced from 75% Clos Pepe Vineyard and 25% Rita's Crown Vineyard, which is one of the highest planted vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills. The 2011 is a truly stunning wine, with intoxicating aromas of green apples, fresh lime zest, white tea, crushed almond powder, damp earth, honey and herbs. The fruit is so pure and it its rich, creamy texture caresses the palate with wonderful finesse and elegance. It finishes with an explosion of fruit that is delivered in a classy, elegant fashion, which is also downright delicious. This Chardonnay has entered into the rare, elite territory where only some of the very best California Chardonnay and Grand Cru level wines from Burgundy reside. There were only 100 cases of this made, so weather you choose to approach this early on or cellar it over the over next 15 years, the one thing I can tell you for certain is do not pass up the opportunity to taste this incredible wine.
