GLAETZER 'Anaperenna' 2010

top100-ico2013 Top 100 - Rank # 63
The name 'Anaperenna' is inspired by the Roman Goddess of the New Year, Anna Perenna. This massive, powerful, oppulent wine from Ben Glaetzer is composed from 72% Shiraz and 28% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is dark and brooding with intense aromas of freshly crushed black fruits layered with cracked pepper, spices, forest floor, pine and lavender. This is dense and concentrated, showing plenty of depth character as it leaves behind a thick coating of black fruits and spices which lingers on and on. Just a wonderful wine from Ben Glaetzer that is delicious and hard to resist now, but is also an excellent candidate for long-term cellaring. (Best 2015-2027) - September, 2013 (JD)
