I am infatuated with Pinot Noir from the Gap’s Crown Vineyard in Sonoma as the site typically produces a much leaner style of wine than from the other warmer vineyards in Sonoma. This wine challenges that belief, but not in a bad way. A Pinot Noir that is rich and decadent, giving aromatics and flavors of mulberry, black raspberry, black tea and brown mushroom and delivers a rich, full-bodied, high acidic wine that shows lovely integrated tannins and a long spicy finish. Hold for another year or two and then enjoy for the next 8 years. Highly recommended.
