The 2017 Cervantes Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely sensational and one of the most impressive wines from this entire vintage. Composed of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon 10% Petite Verdot and 3% Malbec, this instantly begins to impress as it releases its seductive aromatics of ripe blackberries, black currants and blueberries which are woven together with graphite, violets, mint and exotic spices all bursting from the glass. This continues to impress on the palate with its gorgeous full-bodied texture, plush velvety tannins and outstanding overall balance and concentration. This is impeccably structured, however there is a wonderful seamless quality as this transitions effortlessly into the long voluptuous finish. This is showing exceptionally well at this early stage and it is nothing short of an absolutely stunning wine from the Cervantes Family and Andy Erickson.
